i think he is referring to the immutable, append-only and nodump
attributes of ext2.  the answer this this is the first two are not
supported in XFS (though adding support would be fairly easy to
someone familier with xfs internals) the nodump attribute can be set
on files using an xattr, see man xfsdump for info on how that works.
