Hm, there must be a better way of doing this (tm). Remounting
the installation partition?

Thanks for the suggestion (at least this explains why
the rh8xfs also fails installing grub). This also
needs a sleep between the syncs.

I'll try this on Monday, thanks for the suggestion.
