did you happen to save the output?

Was the problem on multiple FSs or primarily the root FSs
A problem was fixed in 1.2 that was related to the remount ro 
that happens to the root FS at shutdown time.

No it shouldn't, but you should have the latest tools to do repair dump,
attr etc...
