Hi!
I want to do an incremental backup with xfsdump excluding at the same
time a directory so the "-s" switch doesn't work. Due to the docs I have
use the SGI_XFSDUMP_SKIP_FILE attribute. I expected that setting this
attribute on a directory would recursively exclude all files in that
directory from the backup but unfortunately that's not the case.
Is there a smarter way to do such an incremental backup than just
setting this attribute on every file in that directory before a backup?
(I have to assure that every file added since the last backup gets this
attribute too.)
I'm currently using the following debian packages:
kernel-patch-xfs 1.2pre4-1
xfsdump 2.2.4-1 (dump format 3.0)
attr 2.2.0-1
Thanks,
Robert
