I'm having the exact same problem. I have successfully install
RedHat-7.3-XFS on this hardware (a new drive - exactly the same but just
new). The specs:
Athlon 1900+
768meg ram
WD 40gig drive (ata100)
Etc....
It seems like the disc 6 completes and fails to prompt for the next
CD....again, the exact same problem, failing to install anaconda-8.0-2XFS..

Oups - yes: my fault. it was the v3 iso image, sorry.
But with v4 I have the next problem: a installation (custom, with
"everything" packages) failed on disc 6 while installing
"anaconda-8.0-2XFS". iso images is ok (check with md5sum an
installer-build test).
