Hi.

A new version of the RedHat 8.0 XFS DVD has been released.

It can be fetched from ftp://ftp.uninett.no/pub/linux/RH-XFS-DVD/

What's on this DVD:

* RedHat 8.0 "Psyche" CDs 1-5, including the SRPMS.
* All updates that were released up to and including 2003-03-27
at 09:00 GMT. They are installed automatically when the system
is installed. The DVD does not contain the old RPMS.
* The installer and RPMS from the XFS 1.2 release from SGI.

Version history:

0.0.1 2002-12-xx Initial version. Not released. Worked fine.
I could even verify the DVD with the MD5 function
of the installer. Had the bug that made it
ask for the XFS CD after verifying MD5.
0.0.2 2002-12-xx Updated version. Contained a few extra RPMS in
the contrib directory. Minor tweaks. Not released.
Had a fix for the problem above.
0.0.3 2002-12-xx Same as 0.0.2 but this time I didn't forget to
implant the MD5 sum into the image (stupid me).
                  Not released.
0.0.4 2002-12-12 Added latest updates. Verified it works from a DVD-RW.
                  Not released.
0.0.5 2002-12-13 Added latest updates: httpd and mod_ssl. Finished my
script that I use to build the DVD with. Not released.
0.0.6 2002-12-18 The ethernet and pcmcia on the laptop died and I had
the whole build system on there. Took some time to
get the relevant info off of it and start building
again. SGI also released 1.2pre4 of the kernel so
I updated all files to that. Added updated net-snmp.
                  Not released.
0.0.7 2002-12-20 Found out that the kernel from 1.2pre4 is wrong so I
waited for the respin to come out and released it
when it had. No other changes. First public release.
0.0.8 2003-01-10 Updated a few RPMs. No other changes. Not really
                  released.
0.0.9 2003-01-15 Updated some more RPMs. Switched to 1.2pre5 from SGI.
First public release with new mirror.
0.0.10 2003-01-26 Updated lots of RPMs including MySQL, PostgreSQL,
the dhcp server and client and CVS.
0.1 2003-03-27 Major update to XFS 1.2. Updated numerous packages.
Seeing the older releases as stable I upped the minor
a knotch. Includes some substantial updates like
                  a new glibc (2.3.2).

Thanx must go to: (In no particular order)
Nicolai Langfeldt
Ragnar Kjørstad
George Georgalis
Ajay Ramaswamy
Russel Cattelan
Eric Sandeen
Nathan Straz
and the rest of the XFS team! This DVD wouldn't have existed
without you!
