I just got my first SGI machine (R5000/180mhz) and got IRIX 6.2 loaded and running fine. Now my next project is to try and get RedHat Linux installed on it. I downloaded the RH w/xfs for SGI iso file and burned it onto a CD. Whenever I boot the indy and try to set up the drive for RH/xfs, I get error messages referring to an invalid cd. Any suggestions on how to properly burn the .iso image so the indy can recognize it and what steps are needed to get this loaded on the SGI machine. |
