First, you may Check it / Test is before you do the real work:

an single iso-CD Linux, ready to run without installing anything, just burn it to CD.
It has the current XFS included and you may test your datatransfer
work without any risks.


I guess this SGI box has one or more MIPS CPU - Knoppix is for the i386 architecture.
