I used this same mechanism when upgrading these same systems from 7.1 and it worked like a charm (Thanks!)Both times the installation attempt has failed with an error leading me to believe that the following file might be corrupt on that iso image: kernel-2.4.18-18SGI_XFS-1.2.0 This installer bug hit me today when I tried to install SGI XFS 1.2.0 from CD to an IBM Thinkpad A31. I went back to the 1.2pre1 ISO and upgraded later kernel and userspace tools. |
