I want to relate my experience with the RH80 installer dated
2/11/03 with an md5 of cee4c68af10836902645b4d0b89020a4.
I'm getting the same error that Jason Crobett reported last week,
"There was an error installing kernel-2.4.18-18SGI_XFS_1.2.0."
Machine 1:
P4, 845G chipset, 512 DDR RAM
Machine 2:
dual P3, Serverworks chipset, 512 ECC REG SDRAM
I was getting the same error on both of these machines using the
following installation methods:
Fresh install
GUI or text mode makes no difference
Upgrading from a brand new 7.3 installation
Upgrading from the previous 8.0 ISO install
Thank you,
vl
P.S. Cosmetics: The welcome screen says it's version 1.2pre1, and
it's still asking for disc 6. :)
