Just to make sure people don't get the wrong idea, the GPL does not
prevent XFS from being ported to BSD.
The only thing it really prevents is any group doing non open source
releases of a BSD product that includes XFS.
The BSD kernels do have GPL'd code include as a part of their releases,
it is just very carefully sand boxed and turned OFF by default.
