Steve,
Here is the data you requested. By the way, I experimented with agsize as you suggested and it didn't have any affect. In fact (as you probably know), the tool mkfs.xfs produces a warning when agsize is a multiple of stripe size.

Output sampling of 4 files written in succession with 14 disks (excellent performance):
test.459.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 7436152..7452351 0 (7436152..7452351) 16200
test.460.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 7452352..7468551 0 (7452352..7468551) 16200
test.461.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 7468552..7484751 0 (7468552..7484751) 16200
test.462.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 7484752..7500951 0 (7484752..7500951) 16200

Output sampling of 4 files written in succession with 15 disks (performance drops significantly):
test.459.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 58720320..58736519 7 (64..16263) 16200
test.460.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 67108928..67125127 8 (64..16263) 16200
test.461.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 75497536..75513735 9 (64..16263) 16200
test.462.data:
EXT: FILE-OFFSET BLOCK-RANGE AG AG-OFFSET TOTAL
  0: [0..16199]: 83886144..83902343 10 (64..16263)

Thanks for your help.

Rick

Can you do one more thing for me, with these configurations send me the
xfs_bmap -v output for a file on each filesystem.

Thanks,

Steve
