I've seen corruption of open files/dirs on shutdown twice. xfs_repair
worked, and I was able to recreate a few dirs under /var by hand the
first time. The second xfs_repair did it all.
The first time I blamed myself for compiling with an inadequate heatsink
on the CPU. The second was a mystery until I saw the other posts.
I'm using 2.4.19 with EVMS 1.2.1 now. I was using EVMS 1.2.0, which
would resync the raid on every reboot due to a bug. I think it might be
related.
In the message:
http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/mail_archive/200301/msg00089.html
the 1.2pre5 releases are announced. It's not on the web page yet, hint,
hint. Also, the naming has changed... on purpose?
There is no CHANGELOG yet, does it include the fix described in message:
http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/mail_archive/200301/msg00072.html
I'd also like to request the releases to include patches against 2.4.20
Keep up the good work! XFS rocks!
