This kernel is brought to you by Seth' Remarkebly Unreliable Kernel service. This kernel is based on the Red Hat 2.4.18-19.8.0 kernel with the XFS patch from 1.2Pre5 patched into it. This means that people using broadcom gigabit cards (bcm5700 ot tg3 module) who see a lot of crashes or mysterious hangs might find this interesting. The i686 build fails at the moment but so you will have to do with the kernel-source rpm instead. The i686 build will follow later. Disclaimer: The kernel compiles, boots and so far survived 60 simultaneous Bonnie processes on a software raid 5 volume. That means that it might not eat your disk after all :-) Still not scared? Go here http://iserv.nl/files/xfs/ Have a nice day, -- Seth It might just be your lucky day, if you only knew. |
