Kernel Panic. VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:02 

...the moment I mention an initrd it does that. The moment I either
comment the line out in lilo or type "linux noinitrd" it boots straight
through.

I've made my ramdisk with:

mkinitrd /boot/kernel-2.4.19-XFS_CVS.img 2.4.19-xfs
