Well, u looks really hard - how do you say you cannot delete a file?
What happens when you remove the last directory entry which points at
it? That in itself is not an operation on the 'u' file. But, once
you remove that last link you just corrupted your filesystem. Seems
that not being able to change a file has to include you cannot
remove directory entries which point at it.
