------- Additional Comments From juri@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2002-10-23 11:43 -------
Ok, another "me too" report:
Kernel checked out and build on 2002-10-06, XFS-specific part of .config:
CONFIG_XFS_FS=y
# CONFIG_XFS_RT is not set
CONFIG_XFS_QUOTA=y
# CONFIG_XFS_DMAPI is not set
# CONFIG_XFS_DEBUG is not set
# CONFIG_PAGEBUF_DEBUG is not set
The /home partition of my little server @home suddenly vanished. After a reboot
the filesystem was mounted w/o problems but to be sure I unmounted it and ran
xfs_check on my /home partition but without getting any errors.
Now it happened again.
On the first mount of the partition the XFS recovery process was started.
Here are the log entries for the to incidents:
Oct 16 22:13:52 warp9 kernel: xfs_force_shutdown(ide2(33,5),0x8) called from
line 1041 of file xfs_trans.c. Return address = 0xc01f9774
Oct 16 22:13:52 warp9 kernel: Corruption of in-memory data detected. Shutting
down filesystem: ide2(33,5)

This server is mainly serving email, NFS and Samba.
