A 1.2pre kernel (SGI XFS CVS-09/19/02:05 with ACLs, quota, no debug enabled)
just produced the following:
Oct 11 07:46:40 puariko kernel: xfs_inotobp: xfs_imap() returned an error 22
on ide0(3,12). Returning error.xfs_iunlink_remove: xfs_inotobp() returned an
error 22 on ide0(3,12).^I Returning error.xfs_inactive:^Ixfs_ifree() returned
an error = 22 on ide0(3,12)
Oct 11 07:46:40 puariko kernel: xfs_force_shutdown(ide0(3,12),0x1) called from
line 1913 of file xfs_vnodeops.c. Return address = 0xc01d79e0
Oct 11 07:46:40 puariko kernel: I/O Error Detected. Shutting down filesystem:
ide0(3,12)
Oct 11 07:46:40 puariko kernel: Please umount the filesystem, and rectify the
problem(s)
o I brought the box into single user mode
o umounted the fs
o ran xfs_check on it (first attachment)
o ran xfs_repair on it (it advised me to mount/umount the fs to recover the
journal)
o mounted/umounted
o reran xfs_check on it (second attachment)
o ran xfs_repair on it (third attachment)
Is this related to "Hardy I.D." <I.D.Hardy@xxxxxxxxxxx>'s similar problems
with xfs_force_shutdown or is my HDD dying (I am running smartd, should it had
given an error, too)?
Thanks, Axel.
