We had a power failure here, and when I restarted my machine and the xfs
repair ran, I got this message repeated about 4 or 5 times:
/dev/hda lost interrupt
It seems to be running ok now, but I'm curious about what this means.
Can someone explain this, please?

A flakky IDE controller at best. As long as it is not reporting media errors you might be OK.

You might have either not compiled the driver for your IDE chipset into the kernel and the controller is working in compatability mode which might cause interesting problems.

In general I'd said the disk/machine was very busy and a interrupt got dropped.

Cheers

It might just be your lucky day, if you only knew.
