ppp patch for redhat 7.3

hi 

i use a redhat 7.3 system with xfs file system

i need to use a vpn connection that uses pptp

the ppp-mppe patch i have works fine with 2.4.18 but doesnot work at all with 
2.4.18-3_sgi-xfs kernel ,

i tried to compile the kernel manually but there seems to be a problem with the 
source as well

pls tell me where can i find a patch
