Good point. :^/

OK, to sum up, basically what I am looking for is the -AA series, which
has the advantages found in RHAS2.1's kernel, and seems to work quite
well with XFS, correct?

I did try the single patches for the 2.4.9 kernel, per one
recommendation, and it fails to build. I'll have to repeat it to get the
exact steps and failures. I did have to manually apply some of the
patches from reject files. I should be able to get to it next week
again.
