I assume you're using a newer kernel with LFS, so it would be a good
idea to use the newer tarballs for all the utilities:

ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/cmd_tars/

You may need to run ldconfig which updates the dynamic linker run time
bindings.
