Okay.  Although this is only depend on the IRIX-ported vfs/vnode layer,
not XFS itself.  And this depency is hardcoded almost everywhere in the
dmapi code.

Yes.  But the "massaging" would be _major_ overhaul of the interfaces
and should not happen in the XFS tree ubt rather on a copy of the code.
