As an FYI, I just came across this msg. http://old.lwn.net/2002/0516/a/2tb-2.php3 It is about a VA Linux engineer working on a set of patches to Linux 2.4.17 to get past the 2 TB limitation. He is using XFS as the filesystem, but I don't think any of the patches are XFS related.
