Personally, I compile and USE on a daily basis, my own kernels from the -aa
tree(they include XFS plus 0(1) scheduler fixes, VM changes, etc), and have
been happy with kernels built from gcc3 since 3.0.4. As far as I can tell
ATM, gcc 3.1 is just super solid. If there's a cornercase, I've not yet run
into it, as it's my only compiler on my box.

Hi everyone,

On the topic of compilers, I wonder: have any tests been done on the XFS
Linux kernels using GCC 3.1? I've personally had mixed results using GCC
3.0, so I'm wondering if it will be suicidal of me to try GCC 3.1 out
when
2.4.19 finally gets out.

TIA. :)
