You might be better waiting until 2.4.19 hits the tree - of course we
cannot predict when that might happen. In general the cvs tree does have
a lot of fixes beyond 1.1 in it, and it will be faster. However, as
you may have noticed, it is occasionally broken.
Which ever code base you take, you should of course run it through
some form of QA process before putting it in a product. If you find
problems when you do that, then we are much more likely to try and
fix them if you use the cvs tree. Pushing fixes back to the old
code bases gets painful.
