Hi there, I'm running a Debian/woody system with Kernel 2.4.18-xfs-1.1. So far, everything works very well. I have just one small problem: During normal operation, only about 20% of my 512MB RAM are used by processes, kernel and so on, the remaining memory is used for buffers etc. But whenver corn.daily executes the updatedb, memory usage increases to about 60%. The used memory is not freed after updatedb terminates. Using top or ps, I wasn't able to identify the process eating up all that memory. Where can I start searching?
