xfs and warnquota on Debian stable: no go

Hi gang,

I'm running Debian 2.2 (stable) with kernel 2.4.18-XFS (cvs checkout on 05/27) 
and quota 3.05-3 ("unstable" version hacked by me to compile under stable.)

Everything seems to be fine APART FROM warnquota. It won't send mail, whatever 
I 
do. I straced the binary, and I spotted lots of errors like the following, but 
this doesn't give me any clues:

quotactl(0x580300, 0x80592d8, 0x3, 0xbfffcbec) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or dire
ctory)
quotactl(0x580300, 0x80592d8, 0x4, 0xbfffcbec) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or dire
ctory)
quotactl(0x580300, 0x80592d8, 0x5, 0xbfffcbec) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or dire
ctory)
quotactl(0x580300, 0x80592d8, 0x6, 0xbfffcbec) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or dire
ctory)

Any idea what could be going wrong?
