Yes, I understand what you are saying.
Actually, I got the correct persmissions when I use TOUCH to create a
file under that directory.... But if I create that file through a samba
client machine ( create it remotely , using 0777 as create mask), I got
the results same as I sent in last email.  It is a samba issue, but the
question here doesn't care ....
