Oops, revised. CVS checkout of May24: Bad interaction bet. xfsres tore and nfs

When using kernel and tools from the CVS checkout of May 24, xfsrestore
hangs with /var/log/messages showing:

"Jun  3 13:13:24 compa6 kernel: nfs: server compa5 not responding, still
trying
Jun  3 13:15:14 compa6 kernel: nfs: task 2189 can't get a request slot"

Being reluctant to update to kernel-2.4.19-pre9/-pre10, I installed the XFS
1.1 (generic 2.4.18) kernel and cmds, but ran xfsrestore before rebooting
the XFS 1.1 kernel, and it completes without problems. >>Sorry, the problem
persists, it just takes longer to show up :-(

... repeats

I'll run the XFS 1.1 kernel like a good boy should, and let you know if I
still have the problem (I have run xfsrestore to completion on a machine
running kernel and tools from CVS checkout of April 25).
