Hi,
I tried to install 7.3 (SGI XFS 1.1) via HTTP (RedHat/base/ from SGI-CD,
Redhat/RPMS/ filled with RPMs from RH CD 1, 2, 3 and SGI CD in this
order).
The installer fails when trying to load netstg1.img. On Alt-F3 is
printed:
transferring http://rhinstall//redhat/7.3/i386/RedHat/base/netstg1.img
to a fd
copied 8144792 bytes to /tmp/ramfs/netstg1.img
(the number of bytes varies: 8144416, 8144296, 8143920, 8143920)
Interesting enough this file is of 8572928 bytes on disk. After download
with a browser it's size is the same.
This happens on two different boxes:
- Compaq ProLiant DL 360, 4 GB RAM (using the driver disk)
- noname Celeron 600
Using the same procedure for 7.2 (SGI XFS 1.0.2) works well.
