Hi Karl -
A stack overflow could behave in any number of ways, it's corrupting
random memory.
If you could get kdb applied, you could drop into kdb and look at
processes that are stuck, and backtrace them to see what they are
waiting for. The 2.4.18 kdb patch should apply pretty cleanly... if you
need some help with this send me an email w/ the problems you're having.
