What was the exact error message that you got on the panic?

Ok here come the error messages (hope without typos):

[...]
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
XFS mounting filesystem ataraid(114,1)
XFS: WARNING: recovery required on readonly filesystem.
XFS: write access will be enabled during mount.
Starting XFS recovery on filesystem ataraid(114,1) (dev: 114/1)
XFS: xlog_recover_process_data:bad clientid
XFS: log mount/recovery failed
XFS: log mount failed
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 72:01

thats it ;-)
