Hi, Afriend of mine has installed MySql on Quad processor 2GB RAM machine. Until upgrade all was working fine. He changed kernel to 2.2.x and fs to reiserfs and MySQL start hangup. I suggested her to change kernel to 2.4 and fs to XFS but this doesn't help. Due I see some similarity (change to journaled fs) I have question: did someone have any ideas why this happens ? What is so different so MySQL hangs ? It seems like it is waiting for something, during that MySql causes 100% load of each CPU. Regards, Blizbor |
