I've downloaded the linux-2.14-xfs tree with cvs and have been able to compile
working kernel as early as yesterday.

But today I re-installed RH7.2 on my machine and re-downlaoded the cvs tree but
was unable to get the kernel to compile.

Using after a make maenuconfig, make dep and make bzImage I get the following
error:

/usr/src/linux-2.4-xfs/linux/include/linux/kernel_stat.h:48: 'smp_num_cpus'
undeclared (first use in this function)
make[2]: *** [ksyms.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4-xfs/linux/kernel'
make[1]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4-xfs/linux/kernel'
make: *** [_dir_kernel] Error 2

How can I fix this so that I can get an XFS kernel compiled?

Thanks!

Jc

My hardware is a SuperMicro SuperServer 5012B-E with a P4SBE single 478-pin P4
microPGA mobo with a 1.6GHz P4 CPU
