The stock SuSE 8.0 kernel has the bug where xfsrestore does not bring back ACLs.
If you care about ACLs, then it is a big bug.
I have downloaded and installed the SuSE experimental kernel from
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/next/RPM/
and I have not had any problems yet. It does have the xfsrestore bug fixed.
I gather that this is equivalent to a rawhide kernel from Redhat, so it is not
recommended for production use.
