Oh, I see -- that check only comes into play later... hmmm, will have
to try plan C.

I've checked in a Makefile change to do this -- so, checkout CVS
xfsprogs, rebuild from scratch, esp. ensuring libxlog and xfs_repair
are completely rebuilt, then try the newly built xfs_repair binary
and see if you have better luck.
