Yes, you're correct -- ACLs are implemented using extended attributes
in XFS, and yes they are meant to be restored.  This turned out to be
an XFS kernel bug...

I have just checked in a kernel change which will fix this problem
- it should show up in the XFS CVS tree kernel shortly.  Thanks for
reporting the problem.
