The 2.4.18 from skipjack is very different from what SGI has on their
site. The SGI 2.4.18 is a standard linus kernel with XFS included.

See the 1.1 kernels as a update to 1.0.2. You don't really need a
installer for this.

If there will be an installer it will be based on something that shipped
(eg Red Hat 7.3/8.0) and not on beta versions.
