Hi,
I am testing the XFS file system and utilities (ver 2.0.0-0 with the
2.4.18-SGI_XFS_1.1_PR2 kernel) in the hope of including them in a roll out. I
have made a backup and successfully restored, however the ACL's weren't
restored. I am curious - are they meant to? I assume this is what is meant by
extended attributes in the xfsdump man page. I couldn't find any other doco
that specifically discusses this.
The commands that were issued are:
xfsdump -L session1 -M xfsbackupTEST -l 0 -o -f /dev/nst0 /mnt/xfs
xfsrestore -f /dev/nst0 -i /mnt/xfs/restored_files/
BTW - previous backup/restore attempts resulted in (which didn't happen in
version 2.0.0-0 so I guess you guys have been busy):
xfsrestore: drive_scsitape.c:1504: do_next_mark: Assertion
`rechdrp->first_mark_offset - rechdrp->file_offset <= ( off64_t )(
contextp->dc_recsz )' failed.
The file system is XFS. This is an example of the results from getfacl:
[root@test4 win98]# getfacl *

Looking forward to your reply.
