Hi, My home server is an AMD K6/400 on VIA mobo. It's not fast but works fine. The soft powerdown of this board is a bit special and instead of powering off with linux, it just crashes the kernel. Now, that was good for me because I don't have a monitor on this machine. I powerdown, the kernel crashes and gets into kdb and the keyboard LED's start flashing. When I see the flashing led's, I know it's time to safely turn power off. It seems that kdb is missing in 2.4.9-31SGI_XFS_1.1_PR2. Do we get kdb back in PR3 ? I need the flashing LED's :-) -Simon |
