[patch] XFS and EVMS, kernel 2.4.16 combo patch

The following patch is a merge of the most recent EVMS from IBM and the
most recent XFS release against kernel 2.4.16

It appears to work here (Toshiba laptop) but it did require a rebuild of
the PCMCIA utils after installing...

This is a combination of the XFS kernel patch, the EVMS 2.4 generic
patch, and the EVMS 2.4.16 specific patch.
