It looks like you started from an old XFS patch, XFS 2.4.17 has changed
since 1.0.2. The changes to Configure.help, Makefile,
arch/i386/kernel/entry.S and arch/ia64/kernel/entry.S are from an older
XFS patch. Also your patch contains changes which do not appear to be
XFS related, lclear_user is added to parisc_ksyms.c, pdc_cons.c has
changes to EARLY_BOOTUP_DEBUG, AFAICT neither are used by XFS.
I suggest you start with a clean hppa for 2.4.17 tree. Get these
patches from ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/patches/2.4.17 and
apply them in this order.
xfs-2.4.17-split-only.bz2
xfs-2.4.17-split-kernel.bz2
xfs-2.4.17-split-misc.bz2
xfs-2.4.17-split-acl-extattr.bz2
That is all of XFS without kdb or kbuild. Save this patched version of
hppa 2.4.17 then make any changes that are required to get XFS working
on hppa. A diff of the saved version against the working version will
show what you had to change to get XFS working on hppa. It should be
very little, ideally the only changes will be for system calls and
defconfigs.
