I need to correct myself: Kernel 2.4.14 with XFS-1.0.2 *was* compiled with the 
compiler suggested by the FAQ: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314 (egcs-1.1.2 
release.) But it still gave me the errors that were in my previous message.

What gives?!
