Something that will almost always bite you in the ass is if you use a
different version of gcc for the kernel than what you use on the
modules. If your kernel is being compiled with kgcc, but nvidia module
with gcc 3, this probably broke it. kgcc just seems to be more reliable
with weird kernel compiles, I'm not even going to bother with any other
kernel or module compiler (other than kgcc) until both the XFS
maintainers and the regular kernel maintainers all agree that it's time
to do so.
