I do remember one or two releases where the code was in transit between
directories, but I remember these as being pre-xxx kernels. How are you
getting a 2.4.12 kernel out of the tree - since we are at 2.4.14-pre5
right now and there are no tags in the tree. Can you try one of the
patches from the ftp site?
