Hello,

Does anyone has a step-to-step handson manual for installing LVM + XFS +
Linux Distribution like RedHat 7.1? Especialy for newbe's like myself.

None that I know off. What you could do is at least get the SGI XFS installer and install the redhat 7.1 system with that and build a LVM volume after installation. AFAIK the redhat 7.1/SGI XFS installer does not permit LVM configuration at install time.

Have you tried finding some LVM information over at linuxdoc.org.

The LVM parts probably costs more time to figure out then getting XFS going. Getting XFS on your LVM volume is just a mkfs away.

Cheers/Groeten
