Ok,
kernel 2.4.12 + XFS
test case 1: SMP kernel, resulted in total fs corruption
test case 2: UNIPROC kernel, resulted in total fs corruption
conclusion so far: SMP is not the culprit
tests still to preform...
kernel 2.4.13pre2 + XFS
will keep you guys updated on what i find out, as far as i can see it corruption
occurs with 100% probability after i enable quotas and halt the box. if i do a
reboot without quotas, it takes about 10 reboots before corruption.
