Well, they are often based on pre-xx Linus kernels and people definitely
have problems with those sometimes. We always make sure there is a patch
available against a 2.4.x release before we move the tree up to a pre-xx
kernel. Look in the patches directory on oss for these if you want to
use a specific Linus kernel revision. These all represent the state of the
cvs tree just before it was upgraded (???) to the start of the next pre-xx
series.
