I had this problem on machine with the red hat kernel (2.4.2 and 2.4.3
RPMs, ac tree) but never on machines running under linux-2.4-xfs cvs
version (linus tree). Can be an interaction with the several patch
applied by red hat people and xFS patch ?

xfs_repair resolved all problems for me.

why not integrate it in linux-2.4-xfs tree ? verbose error message are
good.
